We didn’t start by trying to make the ugliest sandal in the world. We simply asked, “Can a sandal protect your toes?”.
We rolled our 30-plus years of shoemaking experience and a lot of sleepless nights into hundreds of prototypes.
A completely original idea emerged that combined the openness of a sandal and the toe protection of a rugged shoe. Our iconic Newport was born, changing shoemaking forever and sparking a whole new category of footwear: hybrid. Twenty years later, Newport is as original as ever.
